Nice local Young pub on the river that serves good food, though for Central London prices. But definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or go for a stroll along the river (and don't mind loud music).

The Sunday Roast! Now that is worth travelling for! Together with the puddings, they made our river walk absolutely perfect 🥰
Book your Sunday roast well in advance because it's often full.

Been once before and it was exceptional so couldn’t wait to go again.
On entering we ordered a glass of wine and a tea to arrive with our food. Female staff member ( looked like it was her first night) came to take our order then asked if I wanted anything to drink? I ordered a pot of tea. Sorry, I forgot that she said. We ordered chicken Kiev, a haddock and chips and a children’s sausage and chips. So when repeating the order back to us, the staff member stated 2 haddock and chips and a children’s sausage and chips. No, incorrect, so repeated the order back to her.
Food arrived in a timely manner and was ok but not great. After we had our plates removed, we asked for 2 desserts also. After 20 minutes wait, I went to the bar and asked the male staff member where our desserts were. I just check he said, I’m sorry but no desserts were ordered. On hearing this, we decided not to wait any longer for them and paid our bill. I asked to speak to the manager and the female member of staff who had served us incompetently, appeared and apologized for not ordering our desserts. I couldn’t believe this person was the manager. I’m sorry to say, I won’t be returning to this venue. Totally incompetent manager and poor service.

We went there to watch the six nations and the team made an extra effort to seat us where we wanted. However, we were very disappointed by the food which was either overcooked or with no flavour (actually made my husband sick once home). For the price (£80 for three meals without drinks) we excepted much better. I had been wanted to go to this pub for a while, gutted the food experience was so disappointing.

Love this pub, it's a great building and on the canal. The food prices go up each year and are over priced and there's no beer under £7. It's a sensory overload on weekends with too many kids running around which ruins the vibe as parents use the place as a creche

If you like wet bread with two unseasoned patties grab a burger from here, I tried to take a picture but it kept slipping off the plate when I put it down to grab my phone.
I asked a female bar staff where the toilet was and they looked at me like I had just defecated on the floor in the middle of the pub.
Highly recommend.

Bar managers breath melted my face off in scenes reminiscent of Indian jones last crusade. Personal hygiene when operating a customer facing business is a must.
Regardless of this, food was overcooked and under seasoned. Beer was on the verge of flat but almost passable. As if £7.20 wasn’t already enough of a slap in the face.

UPDATE: 25/1/25
Poor experience from a female brunette with combed eyebrows, behind the bar. Most tables had reservations for the afternoon but we came in for brunch and coffee after a dog walk. After waiting 10 minutes we got told to sit in the corner. Snobby attitudes will never get my money again. Gentrification changes alot of businesses attitudes and it's a shame if thats to be the case. People need to check themselves!

The food is fantastic, not been disappointed yet from burgers to Sunday roast, even had my mum's 80th there and it was enjoyed by all. Good variety of beer /wine/spirits although wine is at the more pricey side. Only gripe was although loaded fries were absolutely delicious the loaded bit did not adhere to the fries and ended up on
the bottom of the bowl it tasted fab but maybe something that would make them stick to the fries would elevate them more to my liking

Stumbled into here without a reservation on Boxing Day and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming. Everything we ordered was so delicious and such good value. Will be back!
